Iva is an international expert with more than 10 years of experience in higher education, specialising in internationalisation strategies, management of international partnerships, and the development of innovative educational programmes. She built her career as the Head of the Office for International Cooperation at the University of Rijeka, where she coordinated internationalisation efforts – from the introduction of the Erasmus programme and the establishment of partnerships with American, Irish, and British institutions to cooperation with diplomatic missions and the business sector. She initiated a global service-learning programme in collaboration with the State University of New York (SUNY) and developed an award-winning student volunteering model that enabled students to earn ECTS credits. She is recognised as a strategic leader who translates vision into tangible results – throughout her career, she has coordinated more than 500 internal and external projects and significantly improved the operational efficiency of the institutions she has worked with.
She currently serves as the Head of the International Office at PAR University of Applied Sciences, where she continues to strengthen the institution’s international profile through Erasmus+ projects, EU4Dual, and other strategic partnerships.
