What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is a program of the European Union intended to support education, training, the youth, and sports in Europe. For almost 30 years, the EU has financed the Erasmus+ program, which enabled more than three million European students to spend part of their studies in another higher education institution or European organization. Studying abroad is a central part of the Erasmus+ program and has been shown to have a positive effect on later employment opportunities. It is also an opportunity to improve language skills, gain self-confidence and independence, and get to know new cultures.
Erasmus+ is a program of the European Commission. The national Agency for Mobility and Programs of the European Union (AMPEU) is responsible for the implementation of the Erasmus+ program in the Republic of Croatia.
PAR University of Applied Sciences has been the bearer of the Erasmus+ charter for higher education (269530-EPP-1-2015-1-HR-EPPKA3-ECHE) since 2014, which enabled us to officially become part of the international Erasmus+ family.
The purpose of mobility

Who can apply?
All full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students of PAR University of Applied Sciences can apply, with the provision that mobility for the purpose of a study stay can be achieved only on the condition that the student is enrolled in the second or higher year of study at the time of the planned mobility. Also, students can carry out professional practice within a year from the date of completion of their studies (graduation), but they apply while they have student status.
General conditions
Before going to a foreign higher education institution, the student must have the recognition of ECTS, i.e. the mobility period, in agreement with the course providers and the Erasmus coordinator of the PAR University of Applied Sciences. The student’s obligations are defined by signing the Learning Agreement. Upon returning to the home institution, the process of recognition of obligations performed at the partner institution abroad is carried out. In the case of a study stay, a student at a foreign institution must enroll at least 20 ECTS credits and achieve at least 15 ECTS credits per semester, based on the foreign institution’s grade transcript. Professional practice is carried out full-time, lasting a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Financial support
The number of financial grants that PAR University of Applied Sciences will grant for student mobility depends on the availability of funds. The amount of financial support depends on the country in which the mobility is carried out, and is defined in the text of the Tender. Students who apply for the Tender and meet its conditions, but do not enter the list of scholarship students, can go on exchange at their own expense. Students remain enrolled at their home institution for the duration of their mobility and are required to continue paying tuition. Students will not be charged tuition at foreign institutions.
