As regional leaders in higher education, ever since its inception, we at PAR University College have been well aware that continuous education and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills are extremely important for the success of both individuals and organizations in the business world. For this reason, we held the first PAR International Leadership Conference (PILC) in 2012, the only scientific and professional conference on leadership in Croatia. We are extremely proud that already then, with the topic of Women’s Leadership, we addressed the issue of female entrepreneurship, which is still relevant and still insufficiently researched even after almost a decade. We are pleased to point out that we have succeeded in our endeavour to provide an opportunity through the scientific program of the conference for the presentation of works in the field of leadership and management in the context of economics, education, sports, tourism, and the economy in general, but at the same time we have opened up the opportunity to acquire skills through professional part of the conference.

Our ultimate goal is to provide top economic experts, directors and managers, members of the academic community, successful business people and, most importantly, students, among whom are many future leaders, with experience and knowledge in the aforementioned areas, which are necessary for the development of effective management skills, but also able the interaction of conference participants with the aim of increasing the global competitiveness of organizations, institutions and individuals.

We are pleased by the fact that the importance of PAR’s conference is recognized on the international level, as evidenced by the guest appearances of numerous eminent experts from various fields and experienced business people from abroad. Given the aforementioned international character, the official languages of the PILC conference are Croatian and English.

The previous PILC conferences have indeed proven to be valuable sources of new knowledge in the fields of economy and science and a place that provides successful individuals with a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, views, and information. Therefore, we always look forward to meeting again in beautiful Opatija, when together we will try to answer the challenges we face on the way to success.
